Last day of November

Today is the last day of November and marks the nearing of end of the year. I just thought of making my December a month of Thanks-Giving. I will be posting blogs of thanks giving for the things I am grateful for, even the littlest of things. Let us end our 2015 with a grateful heart and start the 2016 full of hope! Cheers to more blogs! :)

Anvaya Burger

We've been to the doctor and advised me to slow down and monitor what I'm eating since I've gain drastically. 10 fudging kilos in just 6 months! Can you just imagine that? I kid you not, it is really tough for me at the beginning since I am not used to eating a lot, but since I am pregnant I am always thinking of the welfare of the life growing inside me.

I told my husband to monitor what we are eating, his reaction, dump that thought and just eat what I want. He is really one supportive husband right? Lol!

I was craving for meat and pasta that day, luckily the hubby was on off and just at home. I sent him an sms and asked him if he wants to try the Anvaya burger in Marikina (near Sta Lucia). He said 'Game!" So when the clock hit 5:00pm I hurried out and met him along the way. 

Location wise, it is really accessible. I can't say that it is a restaurant, for me it is more of a bakeshop. It is non air-conditioned one so you might consider taking out your goodies and just eat it somewhere. For the sake of getting the feel of it, we chose to eat there. The wait time for the food is more than 15 minutes and sad to say the mobile network in the area is poor. So if you are planning to just browse through the internet until the food is served that is quite impossible.

And the verdict? It was heavenly! The hubby can't agree enough. Our tummies are so satisfied that we don't need to eat our breakfast the next morning. All in all the food was great but the non air-conditioned place, the wait time, plus the not-so-hospitable staff are just some thoughts to consider.

My First-born's 15th birthday (Rub Ribs)

Would you believe, I have a teenage son! Woah! that felt odd telling the world of that, but hey I am so blessed to be in my midlife with a nearly adult guy as my son.

I asked him how he wants to celebrate his birthday. Of course I gave him his choices. First choice would be a dinner out with the whole family, and second would be home cooking to invite his friends over for merienda. He chose the dinner out with the family.

If you are watching my daily vlogs, you'll know that I am craving for steak lately. Initially, my plan was to bring the whole family to The Porch in QC. However, the traffic is really heavy so we've decided to just look for a steak house near our place. I recently tried Rub in Kapitolyo in Pasig and I think that would be a perfect place for my son's birthday dinner.

We ordered two of the Family Brunch which includes pork ribs good for 4 and three side dishes. Aside from that, I added 8 extra rice for the boys, soup of the day ( clam chowder), Caesar salad, and two pitcher of  their house blended iced tea.For the side dishes, we ordered potato fries, grilled butter corn, bacon and potato salad, buttered veggies, and their spiced rice.

It is no secret that my family loves to dine out and talk over food. My father said that the food here is great and really affordable, I shelled out 2,300.

All in all, the dinning experience here was great. The ribs are cooked just right, the place is awesome together with their friendly staff, and lastly the medley of their side dishes are superb.
